These are extremely challenging times for our
children. All children are becoming increasingly vulnerable to social
problems. Children receiving services from your local Big Brothers Big
Sisters agency are facing difficulties beyond the normal or expected and are
attempting to make good decisions with limited adult support.
We want to reach out to these children and assist
them in meeting the challenges ahead. The SOLUTION to making positive
moral and ethical decisions is through hands-on mentoring programs like those
offered by Big Brothers Big Sisters.
It is a documented fact that children involved with a "Big Brother" or "Big Sister" are eight times more likely to finish school, stay out of trouble, and make something good of their lives. You as an individual can MAKE A DIFFERENCE.....

Even if you only have 1 or 2 hours a month, that is enough to help a child in your community. If you're not sure what volunteering would be like, consider trying the PALS program. There is no long-term commitment and you are sure to have a great time while making a difference in a child's life.
